TESTIMONIALS
For nearly 20 years, The Yeehaa Boys have been a driving force in the country swing scene, delivering timeless music that has captured the hearts of fans worldwide. Since joining Blue Pie Records USA in 2005, their journey has been one of incredible success, powered by a passion for music, creativity, and the enduring friendship between Chris Fitzgibbons and Damien Reilly. This collaboration has fuelled both the band's artistic achievements and their business ventures, forging a partnership built on a shared love for country pop rock.
The Yeehaa Boys are not just any band; they are one of Australia's premier country swing groups, made up of some of the country's most iconic rockers. Collectively, the band members have achieved over 9 number-one singles on the ARIA Charts, been a part of multiple platinum-selling albums, and played live to millions of people around the world. Their music is rooted in tradition, blending the best of country rock, swing, and bluegrass, making every performance a celebration of raw talent and musical heritage.
The band's lineup reads like a who's who of music legends:
- Mick Buckley (Kid Wrangler) brings his unique Honky Tonk piano style to the table, honed over six years of playing in New Orleans and Louisiana before bringing that magic back to Australia.
- Mark Lucas (Slim Pickens) keeps the rhythm going strong on drums, his steady beat forming the backbone of the band's swing.
- Artie Taylor (RT) commands the double bass with a depth and precision that adds richness to every note.
- Jorden Collins (The Kid) lights up the stage with his incredible lead guitar work, adding a modern edge to the band's sound.
- Chris Fitzgibbons (Randy Handler), frontman and lead vocalist, delivers soul-stirring performances with his vocals and Dobro guitar, capturing the essence of country music with every song.
From the moment the band was born, with Fitzy's iconic "Yeehaa" cry at the end of a rehearsal, they've carried that same infectious energy into every performance, record, and music video. Their 2006 debut EP, Playin' 8 Ball, shot to No. 18 on the National Country Music Charts, with the music video becoming a fan Favorite on Country Music Channel. The band's momentum only grew with international tours in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, cementing their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the global music scene.
The Yeehaa Boys' second EP, Shake Baby (Do Ya Stuff), released in 2007, became an instant hit, with its vibrant music video incorporating CGI animation of the Australian outback and choreographed Texan swing routines. It was an unforgettable release that showcased the band's creativity and passion for pushing the boundaries of country music. This led to performances on Australia's largest free-to-air morning television show and being the headline act for the 75th Sydney Harbour Bridge anniversary celebrations —truly a career highlight.
In 2008, the release of their self-titled album, The Yeehaa Boys, took their music to new heights. Combining influences from the 1940s with a modern twist of country swing and bluegrass, the album firmly established them as Australia's leading country swing band.
